Absolutely not.
We're not attorneys. We don't give legal advice. Essentially we are a typing service that can help you complete legal forms authorized by the Florida Supreme Court, forms you can DIY complete with or without our assistance. We offer you no legal advice or legal expertise beyond form completion. We can't even tell you what forms you need, you have to tell us!
This is a critical distinction. We're not a law firm, and we're not a substitute for competent legal advice. We are not offering you legal skills. We're serving as typists on DIY legal forms.
Our services are not the substitute for an attorney.
We complete forms by assisting you in the completion of forms that are simplified forms approved by the Supreme Court of Florida, except to the extent permitted by The Florida Bar v. Brumbaugh, 355 So.2d 1186 (Fla.1978). That does not include things like living trusts, bankruptcy, or other legal matters. If it is not a Florida Supreme Court issued simple form you need completed, we will refer you to an attorney of your choosing.
We do not draft or create legal forms. We simply help you fill out the forms that the Florida Supreme Court provides.
We can't prepare or assisting in the preparation of any pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, arguments, briefs, notices, or any other legal documents or pleadings that are not fillable forms provided by the Florida Supreme Court. If they provide it for your DIY use, we can help you fill in the blanks with information you provide. We do not do legal drafting from scratch on any issue.
We do not use the term paralegal, nor are we operating under the advisement of an attorney. We do not have the license nor credential to offer legal services at all beyond typing form completion.
We do not give legal advice and assist in making decisions on behalf of another person that requires legal skill and a knowledge of the law greater than that possessed by the average citizen.
If you need an attorney, get one. If you need legal advice, contact an attorney. If you don't know what forms you need, do research or contact an attorney. We can't coach you, advise you, represent you, provide you legal advice, or help you decide what course of action to take.
We help you complete DIY forms you ask us to help you complete, but sometimes all you need is help with the paperwork.
